Everyday, We face a journey called life, In which we experience lots of struggles and pains, and in which the outcome might be good or bad, helpful or worthless. Sometimes it might not be like what we expects.
Life is like a test, sometimes we have to fall down before we learned the lesson, Just remeber to stand up every time you fall and learn from the mistakes you make.

The Gigantes Escapade Day 1

Hey Everyone! It's been a while right? Well for me the past few weeks had bring a new outlook in life. But, I won't be talking about it now because today, I want to share to all of you a once in a Lifetime experience I had in Gigantes Island in Iloilo City, Philippines.

Gigantes Island is a chain of Islands, two of it's biggest are known as Gigantes Norte and Gigantes Sur. According to our Tour Guide "Kuya Jet", The Island was name "Gigantes" because of  a Gigantic Coffin found in one of the caves in the said Island, and in which it contained a Gigantic Bone structure. And now let me share to you our Three day Experience in the Island of Gigantes :D

One of the Island in Gigantes

From Manila, we have an hour Plane ride to Roxas Airport. We then have a tricycle and a two-hour bus ride towards the Town of Estancia Iloilo. Arriving at Estancia we then took another tricycle to the port and a two hour boat ride towards the Gigantes Island, where we will be staying for the next three days.

Bus ride to Estancia :D

Tricycle ride where we were divided into two groups, the couples and the singles >.<

The Fun and Unforgettable Boat Ride, I can't stop from squealing every time the wave comes. So fun :D

Arriving at Gigantes, we then met out Tour Guide "Kuya Jet" who will be our Companion for the duration of our stay. He then leads us to the place we will be staying for a lunch and some rest before we start our activity for the day.

Lunch with my Friends at Gigantes Hideaway Resort, where they serve mouthwatering Sea foods. I'm not really fond of seafoods but I enjoyed eating their delicious menu :D

After the luscious lunch, we opted to rest first to regain those energies we lost from the long journey. We end up either sleeping, taking photos around the resort and even walking around for some site seeing. An hour or two had passed, when we meet up with our Tour Guide once again. He then leads to our Sole destination for that day, The Parola Lighthouse.

The Parola was used as a guide for sailors for a long time and uses Solar Power. The Lighthouse had its major reconstruction when the Old one was destroyed years back. Too bad the Caretaker wasn't around the time we visited that we're unable to climb the Lighthouse Deck. But still the view around is pretty and breath taking.

The Parola Lighthouse

The brick house near the Lighthouse. Our Tour guide says that it was a relic of an Old Church.

Enjoying our "Photoshoot"around the Lighthouse :D

A Photo before we head back :D

On our way to and from the Lighthouse, we rode this Motorcycle or "Habal-habal" as they call it. And as we had our journey, we can see children playing around, smiling and greeting us as we pass by :D

It was a good first day for us making me more excited for the upcoming days and adventures we will experience for the next three days,  especially the Island Hopping we did on our 2nd Day in Gigantes. Stay tuned for my next Post :D
